Anadach Consulting Group, in collaboration with Kenya Government and TeleHealth Kenya co-hosted e-Health Africa Conference which was held in Nairobi, Kenya on April 18, 19 2012. e-Health Africa Conference 2012: Integrating M-health into E-Health Strategy Implementation was the first multi-stakeholder event focusing on e-Health in Africa that will take place on the continent.
The conference provided a platform to facilitate the implementation of Kenya's new eHealth strategy by bringing together key stakeholders from Kenya and around the world who are working in health care, telecommunications, ICT, finance, academia, and the development sectors to share knowledge, exchange ideas, discuss innovative and emerging solutions and develop collaborations. At the same time, it promoted knowledge exchange with other countries that have developed national eHealth strategies (such as Tanzania and Rwanda), and with others who are in the process of or thinking about developing such strategies.

Anadach organized a webinar which was targeted to address Nigeria's healthcare system.The event was also a follow up to Anadach's successful diaspora reception at the ANPA convention on July 9th 2011 in Chicago. The event attracted a wide audience including health professionals from Africa, US, and UK. Dr. Pate, the Minister of State for Health in Nigeria was invited to speak at the webinar. In his speech, Dr. Pate introduced the current situation of the health sector in Nigeria, visualized the future and elaborated on the measures the government will take to solve the existing issues. As the respondent, Dr. Nwariaku, the President of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas proposed a sustainable and affordable health public private partnership option in his presentation. In the subsequent Q&A session, Dr. Pate answered various questions from the audience including pre-service education for health professionals in Nigeria, the emigration of qualified health professionals, etc. The discussion was rich and exciting. Anadach will host more webinars to provide opportunities for health professionals from emerging countries to interact and share experiences on a unique platform in the near future.

Anadach organized a Healthcare Management and Corporate Governance workshop and program for a Nigerian state government which involved leadership training for 100 healthcare executives and hospital board members.
Anadach co-organized the first multi-stakeholder conference on m-health in Africa in Accra, Ghana, the M-Health Africa Summit. The summit focused on sustainability and scalability of mobile health services in Africa. Anadach was selected by British Airways as a 2010 Face-of-Opportunity winner and was awarded travel to anywhere in the world to conduct vital business meetings as well as attend the British Airways Face-of-Opportunity business conference. This award is part of the British Airways Face-to-Face program, which provides small business owners and entrepreneurs the critical tools for building business relationships abroad and stimulating growth through the power of face- to-face interaction.

After 3 interesting days in Washington at the CCA conference which discussed a broad range of issues related to the growing private health sector on the continent, Dr. Egbe Osifo-Dawodu crossed to Minneapolis to join an invited panel at the University of Minneapolis. The panel consisting of Mr Kojo Taylor, CEO Microclinics; and Scott Hillstrom, Founder and Chairman of the HealthStore Foundation; and Egbe. The panel, moderated by Dr Jim Rice, Executive Vice President Integrated Health Strategies, engaged in an interesting conversation on innovative approaches to improving health care in developing countries.
Dr. Egbe Osifo-Dawodu moderated a panel on" Broadening Diagnostic and Treatment Options through Sustainable Investments in Facilities and Services" at the US-Africa 2010 Private Health Sector Conference held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC. Egbe moderated a panel of distinguished panelists working across various countries in Africa - Dr Sam Thenga, CEO, Nairobi Women's Hospital; Dr Amit Thakker, Interim CEO Africa Medical Investments; Dr Helga Holst, CEO McCord Hospital Durban; Ms. Lynn Brown, CEO Omma Health Care; and Dr Maguerite Limagnnack, Founder and Owner of Zen Dental Center, Douala. The panel engaged in a lively discussion with the audience on their own experiences in building and/or managing private sector facilities on the continent. Anadach Group organized a workshop titled “Key Drivers and Challenges to consider in setting up a successful healthcare business in Nigeria and other emerging markets” on July 15th, 2009 the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) Annual convention in Abuja, Nigeria. The workshop session provided information to the aspiring clinician entrepreneur who perhaps having a successful medical career in North America or Europe is considering setting up a viable health care business in Nigeria. At the end of the session, the entrepreneur had an understanding of key issues to consider and resources available to increase chances of success.

Anadach Group arranged a workshop titled “Diversification and Career on October 30th, 2009 at Medical Association of Nigerians across Great Britain (MANSAG) Annual Convention in Plymouth, United Kingdom. (www.mansag.org).
