In collaboration with our partners, we would like to invite you to a workshop on "The Dynamic Role of Intellectual Property Protection in Promoting Innovation and Economic Development in Emerging Markets" which will take place at Four Points by Sheraton Lagos from July 15 - 16, 2015. In addition to the workshop there will be an associated Innovation hall which will provide innovators, creators, entrepreneurs and others opportunities to showcase their products on July 15th, and a one day training course titled "IP 101" for innovators, entrepreneurs, creators and financiers will be delivered on July 14th.

Certified Training Course on Intellectual PropertyIP 101 for Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Creators and Financiers - This course will aim to increase understanding on what aspects of each attendee's business requires protection, the most comprehensive protection available in Nigeria and elsewhere, and what processes are involved in obtaining it. The course will be based around four interactive discussions based on panel discussions, including a session on practical application to a test case.The ICC Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) released the report “Promoting and Protecting Intellectual Property in Nigeria”.
