The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award, NHEA is an initiative of Global Health Projects & Resources in collaboration with Anadach Group. The award is an annual event aimed at celebrating individuals and organizations that have contributed to the development of the healthcare sector through innovative, efficient and qualitative healthcare delivery services that have significantly impacted the health and wellbeing of Nigerian citizens at home and abroad.
As part of activities to kick off the 8th edition of this annual awards ceremony, GHPR and Anadach are hosting a webinar with a Pitch opportunity with same theme as this year’s edition- Innovative Healthcare Services in the Era of Change. Post COVID, the healthcare system worldwide has undergone a paradigm shift and Healthcare organizations have been forced to Innovate to stay in business. New and Updated methods of delivery of healthcare services are also common place. This webinar aims to showcase how Innovation has improved healthcare delivery.
This webinar presents an opportunity for Health Tech Promoters to pitch to industry stakeholders in the audience, as well as an opportunity to solicit real time feedback, advice and connect with stakeholders in the health tech ecosystem to encourage further collaboration. NHEA will send a call for pitches and the screening process will be done by Anadach and GHPR.

Vamshi has 18+ years of global experience as a technology executive, working both in leadership and entrepreneurial roles, she has experience launching and growing products and platforms for start-ups in IoT, Fintech, Health & Education Technology. Vamshi’s expertise is in developing innovative business models and products – using AI, Deep learning and other deep technologies - addressing customer and business needs.

Vamshi is currently a venture partner at Corniche growth advisors, where she leads healthtech practice. She is also co-founder of an early-stage wellbeing technology platform, Sanko, that is addressing the need for personalization and data-driven approach in lifestyle medicine.

Vamshi also has experience in financial services where she specialized in quantitative strategies and structured products. She holds an MBA from IMD, Switzerland and master’s in computer engineering from UMN, USA.

Vamshi actively advises start-ups globally, focusing on businesses that leverage technology innovation to address critical issues in healthcare and education sectors. She is passionate about the role technology and capital markets can play in solving important world challenges.

Mr. Mark Ugbomah, Co-Founder/MD Octosoft

Mark is the Managing Director of Octosoft Technologies, an innovative health-tech start-up, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable.

Prior to co-founding Octosoft, he was Head of Global Delivery Network at ConsenSys, a global blockchain technology company.  He led the successful delivery of the world’s first blockchain based commodity trade finance platform. He also had stints with banking giants Barclays bank and HSBC UK. He was co-founder of an award winning IT services company which attained IBM Premier business partner status.

Mark started his career at GTBank where he led a number of pioneering initiatives including Project “e-One” integrating all e-channels and providing single sign-on for enhanced customer experience, GeNS transaction notification service and  “Book easy, Pay easy, Fly easy” partnership with British Airways.

Mark has a B.Sc.(Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, an EMBA from the Lagos Business School and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from IESE.

He is a disciplined officer leading digital transformation and scaling technology-enabled solutions in healthcare and other industries, Marcel Odiboh has demonstrated a track record of supporting strategy and implementation of mission-critical initiatives.

A PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001/22301/CCISO/ITSM - Digital and Information officer who has grown multiple companies to a higher revenue scale through architecting a digital transformation roadmap, removing obstacles, and implementing scalable systems.

Marcel is a rich professional with skills that cannot be copied from the blackboard including Integrity, leadership, Strategic planning, clean management, IT risks, and Governance, to name a few.

Dr. Chibuzo Opara, CEO DrugStoc

Dr Chibuzo Opara is the co-founder and CEO of DrugStoc, a cloud based pharmaceutical IT and logistics platform which provides access to verified quality pharmaceutical and healthcare products for healthcare facilities and pharmacies. DrugStoc is focused on eliminating counterfeit and substandard drugs, expanding access to pharmaceutical products for healthcare providers and improving transparency in pricing for the healthcare product supply chain at the last mile.
Chibuzo is a health economist with a clinical background and over 16 years of experience in the health sector. He has worked with the World Health Organisation, the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, European Development Fund, the Sovereign Wealth Fund among other institutions in the fields of healthcare finance and supply chain management. His work experience spans across different aspects of the healthcare system and several countries including Netherlands, Nigeria, Belgium, Switzerland, Cameroun, Liberia, Kenya and Vietnam.
During this time, he built up extensive experience in the systems management for primary healthcare, including supply chain logistics and data management, healthcare financing, human resource planning, task shifting and health facility management within the private and public sectors.
In the last few years he has focused his energy, time and passion on expanding access to good quality pharmaceutical and healthcare products leveraging an IT platform DrugStoc, which he co-founded, to leapfrog infrastructure challenges within the healthcare system. He holds degrees in medicine & surgery and economics, policy and management from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands.
He is married with 3 children.
