PROGRAMME SUMMARY FOR LAUNCH OF ANADACH GOVERNANCE ACADEMY
GOVERNANCE FOR HEALTH IN AFRICA

We invite you to participate in our series of two interactive webinars on smarter governance structures and practices to strengthen the performance of public and private hospitals, and health services organizations in the countries of Africa.

Effective Governance practices for stronger health systems consists of the mobilization, deployment and utilization of resources, through policies and regulations, for promoting and protecting the health of the population. Good governance provides organizational decision-making that allows for a more effective use of healthcare resources resulting in improved health outcomes

The role of insightful health sector governing bodies is essential to achieve the health, employment, and financial goals of the organization or community. The members of the governing bodies make decisions that define policies, rules and regulations. They help support both clinical and financial oversight and accountability for the enterprise’s leadership as they expand access to health care and health gain.

These sessions will provide practical insights for modern board work across Africa, and other continents.
The webinars will also address new insights on approaches to minimizing common obstacles to good governance in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). This includes understanding of the roles and responsibilities of board members, the difficulty to recruit talented and ethical people for board membership, a lack of support for successful decision-making, as well as inadequate information and orientation for successful engagement.

Anadach Group is now offering a series of webinars and resources on governance processes and strategies in the African context, for the private sector, public sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Through these resources, Anadach aims to enhance access to knowledge and practices of high performing governing bodies and leaders in order to support high performance at all levels in a nation’s health sector.

Issues to be addressed include; but are not limited to:

  • Governance and health
